Whitefish Salad is simply amazing! This is the tastiest spread or topping found in any brunch recipe collection. Whitefish Salad is appetizing as a topping on crackers, as a spread on a bagel or even as a salad filling for endive or lettuce leaves.
- 1 – 1 ½ lb. smoked whitefish – remove all bones and visible skin
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1/3 cup diced celery
- 1/3 cup diced onion
- 1/3 cup finely diced red pepper
- 1-2 tablespoons of chopped fresh dill or other herb of choice
- salt and pepper to taste
Place fish in the food processor and pulse or process low until chunky but not too fine. Remove fish and place in a mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients blending well. Season to desired taste and add dill or herbs.
Refrigerate for at least an hour and serve cold.
