Adam and Eve Were Black? Does Anyone Care?

September 25, 2010 by Patrick Beaulier

I live in the American Southeast, where we love to mix science and religion together. One of my favorites is a belief that, since Africa is the cradle of humanity and Adam and Eve were the first humans, it stands to reason that Adam and Eve were black.

This really ticks off the racists in my state who are convinced that everyone in the Bible was white. But…oh well.

Here’s my favorite video from the Adam and Eve Race War that floods the internet. It makes me realize how grateful I am that Jewish folks aren’t into this kind of stuff. Or are we? Let us know your opinion about race, racism and the Jewish community.
