Are you interested in learning more about Judaism?

Everyone is welcome – Jewish or not – to explore Jewish spirituality, history, prayerbook Hebrew and culture in our online school, the Darshan Yeshiva.

Classes are self paced and self-directed, meaning you can study any time. Our Comprehensive Jewish Studies course is taught by rabbis, Jewish educators, lay people and many Jews By Choice, providing you amazing insights into Judaism.

Q: I don’t know anything about Judaism…is this class for me?

A: Absolutely! Our students include people interested in converting to Judaism, Jewish people who just want to learn more about their traditions, and non-Jews who enjoy learning about different religions and cultures.

Q: What is an online school like? How do classes work?

A: When you sign up for our school, you will immediately be logged into your class portal. There will be a list of classes available for you to take. These classes are archived videos, audio lectures, notes, games, and other great resources put together by our team of rabbis and educators. You can start by picking any class that you like, from Bible study to Jewish law, culture, history and more. You can take classes “in order”, or you can skip around and only take the classes that interest you at the time.

Q: Do I need to log into the website at certain times? Is this like an online meeting or Skype? And do I need any kind of fancy technology.

A: No. These classes are archived so that you can take them at any time, at your convenience. Educated staff members and volunteers are available to answer your questions and help you through the classes should you need anything. We’re always here to help. Also, you can access our website anytime on your computer, phone or tablet.

As a Jew By Choice, I remember how difficult it was for me starting my Jewish journey. There were no Judaism classes nearby, and I was very intimidated about walking into a synagogue environment for the first time, and especially all alone.

That is why I am so thrilled to introduce this course by Darshan Yeshiva. It has been an amazing journey developing this program and hiring such incredible rabbis and Jewish educators to provide classes for our students. I wish I had a program like this when I was first exploring Judaism.
