Reform Rabbis Sought
Want to work one-on-one as a rabbi, educator and mentor for an organization that is growing by leaps and bounds, utilizing new models of Jewish community as well as the latest learning technology?
Darshan Yeshiva is currently searching for rabbis to be part of our growing conversion program. In particular, we are seeking Reform rabbis (Liberal outside the USA), especially recent graduates looking for a “first job”.
As part of our conversion program, you would be responsible for mentoring students via phone, Skype or in-person, assisting students through their online educational process, providing a meaningful rabbi-student relationship, as well as facilitating the student’s mikvah and bet din. You get to choose how many of our students you work with and can add more students at any time. You will generally meet with students once per month for ten months and at the end of ten months they will come to you for their mikvah date. Rabbis can choose to work online entirely (working with students from all over the world who come to them for their bet din and mikvah) or with students in their area.

Darshan Yeshiva is searching for adult Jewish educational content for our downloadable class series. With that in mind, we are announcing multiple positions for Course Creators. Course Creators can be anyone who has a qualification to teach Jewish content, but it is NOT limited to rabbis or formal Jewish educators. We are open to teachers of all kinds, from all backgrounds and all approaches to Judaism and Jewish thinking.
With our downloadable class series, students are able to download only the classes they want without the commitment of an entire program. Classes are built around an audio recording or video, with at least one handout. These mobile, on-the-go courses are different than our standard programs which are longer, more expensive, and require a student to be at their workstation.
As a Course Creator, you would work with Darshan Yeshiva in the way that a reporter works for a news outlet. You would pitch ideas for courses, including the subject matter, the focus of the course, the amount of content and the price. If your course is accepted, you would produce the content which we would purchase from you and place on our site.
Course Creators can receive a fee up front for their work, or choose our royalty program. You can create as little or as much content as you would like. Note that the more content you sell, the more money you make.
In particular, we are interested in content that is accessible to students who are beginning their Jewish learning. This does not mean that the content you create must be at a grade school level. Our students are adult learners and want to learn at that level, but for your content to be successful, it must be engaging and relevant content at a somewhat novice level.
